About Visiting the Museum

What time is the museum open?

10:00-17:00 (Last admission: 30 minutes before closing each day)
The museum's opening hours are as follows:
On Fridays, we are open from 10:00 to 19:00; On Saturdays and holidays, we are open from 9:00 to 19:00; and On Sundays, we are open from 9:00 to 17:00. However, on Sundays when races are held, our hours are extended, and we are open from 9:00 to 19:00.
Please note that these hours are subject to change depending on circumstances.

When is the museum closed?

Open all-year-round
The museum may be closed due to irregular weather conditions or vehicle maintenance.
We will release information on the website and social media.

How long do I need to tour the museum?

You can expect a tour of approximately 30-60 minutes.

Do I need a reservation?

You can enter the museum without the reservation, but making an online reservation in advance is highly recommended as there are restrictions on the number admissions per day.

Is there a guided tour of the museum?

The guided tours in Japanese language only and are available twice a day (11:00, 15:00)
Please feel free to ask our on-site staff members for a detailed explanation of the exhibition.

Are pets permitted inside the museum?

No, pets are not allowed in the museum, except for assistance dogs such as guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs.

Is it possible to drive inside Fuji Speedway to reach the museum?

If you are driving, you cannot come directly from inside Fuji Speedway.
Visitors coming from inside Fuji Speedway should exit the open gate (East Gate in principle) and head toward the West Gate.
However, please do NOT enter the West Gate, but use the dedicated road in front of the information sign along the designated road to enter the Fuji Motorsports Museum.

Do I need studless tires?

Although it depends on the weather conditions, studless tires or chains are recommended from December to March.

Individuals with various paperwork (specific medical certificates, etc.) are charged half price of each counter fee, as well as half price for up to one attendant.

Are there any discounts for groups?

Group discounts apply for groups of 20 or more.

About the exhibition

Please tell us about the contents of the exhibition.

With the founding purpose of "tracing the hot history of how motorsport has refined and changed the automotive world," the permanent exhibition is provided in cooperation with 10 domestic and foreign automobile manufacturers as the world's first attempt at a motorsport museum. About 40 historic motorsport vehicles from Japan and overseas will be gathered together.
These include the long-treasured participating cars from the 1922 Strasbourg Grand Prix (first "Sunbeam Grand Prix" full-scale public exhibition in Japan) and the "Toyota 7", the winning vehicle in the 1969 Japan CAN-AM, which has also received many requests for permanent exhibition.

Is it possible to take photos/ videos?

Photography is allowed only for personal or non-commercial purposes (permitted on social media). Please refrain from taking pictures using selfie sticks or tripods.

Can visitors get into the vehicles on display?

For the protection of the exhibited vehicles and the safety of our customers, boarding or maneuvering of the vehicles is not permitted.

About eating and drinking

Do you have a dining space?

Please refrain from bringing food and drinks into the building.
Please use the Shop and Café "Fan Terrace" on the 3rd floor.

About accessibility

Do you have a stroller/ nursing room?

Strollers can be borrowed free of charge. Please ask the staff on site. The nursing room is on the 3rd floor.

Are the wheelchairs available at the museum?

Yes, the wheelchairs are available at limited numbers. Please ask the on-site staff for their help.

Do you have multipurpose toilets (for people with disabilities)?

Yes, they are located on the second floor of the museum and on the third floor of the hotel. Please refer to the floor map here for detailed locations.
The bathroom for a general user is located on the second floor of the museum.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Please use the Wi-Fi service provided by building. Please check with the staff on site for further details.

Can plug-in hybrid/electric vehicles be charged?

There is one spot in the parking lot and another in the hotel parking lot.
The fast charging services are available at P1 and P14 car parks. If you would like to know more about the service, please ask the staff members for details.

Is there a place where I can buy souvenirs?

You can purchase items at the Shop and Café "Fan Terrace on the 3rd floor.

Can I use Fan Terrace without museum admission?

Yes, you can use the café without museum admission.

How can I take photographs and/or film at the museum for articles/publications/broadcast programmes?
